1. Service Description
SoMic is an AI-powered content and slide generation app that helps users create carousel-style posts, slide decks, captions, scripts, visual content, and related creative materials.
The Service may allow you to:
- enter text prompts, ideas, outlines, or notes;
- use voice input to describe ideas;
- select photos, images, or background media;
- generate slides, posts, captions, scripts, and carousels;
- edit and export generated content;
- save projects, drafts, preferences, and context;
- define brand, audience, tone, visual, or content preferences;
- analyze user-provided content examples to create derived context for future generations;
- access premium features through paid subscriptions when available.
SoMic may use third-party AI models, infrastructure providers, transcription services, and subscription management providers to operate the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SoMic.
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The Service is not directed to children under 13.
3. Accounts and Access
SoMic uses Sign in with Apple for permanent account access. The app does not create anonymous backend accounts. You may browse signed-out screens, but generation, account-backed saving and synchronization, subscription activation, and other protected features require you to sign in.
Your SoMic account uses a Supabase account identifier and authenticated session. RevenueCat uses the same canonical account identifier for subscription entitlement. Protected actions may also require a server-issued device credential so we can enforce the supported-device limit.
You can sign out without deleting your account or server-stored content. You can permanently delete your account and associated server-stored data from Settings. Deleting your SoMic account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed through Apple.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, Apple ID, app data, and any information needed to use the Service.
4. User Content
“User Content” means any text, prompts, ideas, outlines, notes, images, voice input, audio, brand context, style preferences, content examples, social-media-related materials, or other information you submit, upload, enter, record, or provide to SoMic.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By providing User Content to SoMic, you grant us a limited license to process, store, transmit, display, modify, and use that User Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own or have the necessary rights to provide your User Content;
- your User Content does not violate any law, third-party right, privacy right, intellectual property right, or platform policy;
- you will not provide content that you are not authorized to use;
- you are responsible for reviewing and approving any generated output before publishing or using it.
5. AI-Generated Output
SoMic uses AI systems to generate content. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, non-unique, outdated, offensive, or unsuitable for a specific purpose.
You are responsible for:
- reviewing and editing generated content;
- verifying facts, claims, quotes, and legal/commercial suitability;
- ensuring generated content complies with applicable laws and platform rules;
- deciding whether and how to publish or use generated content;
- obtaining any required permissions for third-party materials.
SoMic does not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, original, effective, compliant with social platform policies, or fit for any particular purpose.
Generated content should not be treated as legal, medical, financial, professional, or other regulated advice.
6. Content Intelligence and Social Content Examples
SoMic may allow you to manually provide social media examples, profile descriptions, posts, captions, scripts, or other brand materials for analysis.
When you provide these materials, SoMic may analyze them to create derived context, such as tone of voice, themes, audience assumptions, content pillars, style observations, and generation preferences.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide any links, examples, profile descriptions, posts, media, or other content for analysis.
Unless explicitly implemented and disclosed, SoMic does not connect to your Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other social media accounts through official OAuth or platform integrations.
You agree not to use SoMic to violate the terms of service of any social platform.
7. Subscriptions and Paid Features
SoMic may offer paid subscriptions or premium features.
Payments for iOS subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription entitlement and purchase state are managed through RevenueCat and mirrored by SoMic's backend to authorize protected features.
If you purchase a subscription:
- payment will be charged to your Apple ID account;
- subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period;
- subscription terms, price, duration, trial availability, and renewal conditions are shown at the time of purchase;
- you can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID / App Store account settings;
- deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
SoMic does not receive your full payment card details or Apple ID password.
8. Free Trials, Promotional Offers, and Changes
We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, promotional offers, or discounts from time to time.
Specific offer terms will be shown at the time of purchase. We may change, discontinue, or limit offers as permitted by applicable law and App Store rules.
We may change subscription pricing or plan features. Where required, changes will be handled through Apple or communicated through the Service.
9. Refunds
For purchases made through the Apple App Store, refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies and procedures.
SoMic cannot directly issue Apple App Store refunds unless Apple provides a mechanism allowing us to do so.
To request a refund for an Apple purchase, you must follow Apple’s refund process.
We do not guarantee refunds for subscriptions or in-app purchases unless required by applicable law or Apple policy.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SoMic to create, upload, generate, distribute, or promote content that:
- is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory;
- promotes hatred, violence, exploitation, self-harm, or illegal activities;
- contains sexual content involving minors or exploits children in any way;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- includes personal data of third parties without appropriate rights or consent;
- impersonates others or misleads people about identity, affiliation, or origin;
- spreads fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally misleading information;
- creates spam, phishing, scams, malware, or harmful instructions;
- violates platform rules for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, X, Telegram, or other services;
- attempts to bypass app limits, security, payment systems, or access controls;
- uses automated scraping or unauthorized data extraction in violation of third-party rules;
- overloads, damages, disrupts, or interferes with the Service.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe the Service is being misused.
11. Third-Party Services
SoMic may rely on third-party services, including:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit for in-app purchases;
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement and purchase management;
- Supabase for backend, database, authentication/session management, and edge functions;
- AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) for text and content generation, either of which may serve a given request depending on server-side availability;
- OpenAI for speech-to-text transcription of voice input;
- support or email providers for customer support.
The current version of SoMic does not use a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, policies, or changes outside our control.
12. Intellectual Property
SoMic, including its software, interface, templates, designs, branding, workflows, systems, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, resell, or create derivative works based on the Service except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us.
You may use generated output for your personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, and the terms of any platforms where you publish the content.
13. Feedback
If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, feature requests, or improvements, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.
This does not give us ownership of your User Content, projects, or private creative materials.
14. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit any part of the Service at any time.
We may add, remove, or change features, templates, AI models, generation limits, subscription plans, prices, or technical infrastructure.
We will try to provide reasonable notice of major changes when practical, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
15. Data and Backups
SoMic may save projects, drafts, outputs, context, selected photos, or other app data through local storage and private account-scoped backend services. The Privacy Policy describes which information is stored and what in-app account deletion removes.
You are responsible for exporting or saving important content.
We are not responsible for loss of content due to device failure, account/session loss, service changes, user deletion, technical errors, or events outside our control, except where required by law.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service if:
- you violate these Terms;
- you misuse the Service;
- payment or subscription issues occur;
- fraud, abuse, or security risks are suspected;
- legal or technical requirements require it;
- we discontinue the Service or a feature.
Termination may limit your ability to access saved content or premium features.
17. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that:
- AI output will be accurate, original, lawful, effective, or platform-compliant;
- the Service will meet your expectations or business goals;
- content generated by SoMic will improve social media performance, engagement, sales, or audience growth;
- the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoMic and its owner, operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages;
- lost profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill, or content;
- consequences of publishing or using generated content;
- actions or policies of third-party platforms;
- outages, errors, model changes, or limitations of third-party AI providers;
- unauthorized access, security incidents, or data loss not caused by our intentional misconduct.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to SoMic for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US $100), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SoMic and its owner, operators, service providers, and licensors from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:
- your use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your generated output or published content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law;
- your violation of third-party rights or platform policies.
20. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy:
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
